Noto Hiba
Noto Hiba, also known as "ate," is one of the woods that symbolize Noto. Because of its durability, it has long been used as a building material and the base of Wajima lacquerware.
NAIA focuses on the natural insect repellent, deodorizing, and antibacterial ingredient "hinokitiol" contained in Japanese cypress. We carefully distill Japanese cypress chips to extract essential oils and distilled water.
Its refreshing, woody scent has a relaxing effect and refreshes the mind and body.

Forestry Heritage "Noto Ate Forestry"
"Noto Ate Forestry" is a traditional forestry method that takes advantage of the characteristics of Japanese cypress, which grows in the shade. By partially felling trees and replanting them, we cultivate forests where a variety of trees coexist and deliver rich minerals to the sea.
However, due to population decline and labor shortages, it is difficult to maintain these resources properly. NAIA is promoting environmentally friendly manufacturing to preserve these precious resources for the future.

Noto Hiba essential oil/distilled water
We reuse Japanese cypress waste that was used as lumber and process it into fine chips. These chips are packed into a kiln and steamed using the water distillation method to carefully extract distilled water and essential oils. This method is an environmentally friendly approach that does not waste natural resources and makes the most of the cleansing properties and fragrance of Japanese cypress.

Noto Hiba essential oil and distilled water are extracted slowly and carefully in a local distillation kiln.
