In Noto, on the Sea of Japan side, hail and sleet can be seen from this time of year as cold air flows in. The air is chilly, and you can feel winter approaching.
The rice harvest has finished, and the rice paddies are entering the off-season for farming, but every day is still busy with preparations for next spring.
Currently, at our company's farm in Suzu, we are test cultivating three types of herbs with an eye toward developing ingredients for skincare.

These are what they look like just after sprouting from seeds sown in October. Tiny seeds have quietly begun to grow.
Lavender (approximately 50 days after sowing)
Rosemary (approximately 50 days after sowing)
Roman Chamomile (approximately 3 weeks after sowing)
These small seedlings, which are candidates for raw materials next spring, will be carefully managed in a greenhouse that can withstand winter snow and strong winds, so that they can safely survive the cold winter.
